Kole Mathis commits to Colorado’s 2024 recruiting class

Deion Sanders and the Buffs pulled in another recruit to this year’s class. Kole Mathis made it official by announcing he would be staying in Boulder on Saturday.

Colorado will have four sets of brothers on the roster for a family affair. The 5-foot-8, 140-pound two-way standout is the younger brother of Buffaloes receiver Kaleb Mathis. Also, their father is CU’s cornerback coach and former NFL star Kevin Mathis, who was a teammate of Sanders with the Dallas Cowboys. It’s an FBS record for the most sets of siblings on a team.

A line of trucks and campers, cars and vans — from South Dakota and North Carolina, Washington and Pennsylvania — snaked over farm roads before gathering on the winter-brown grass of a ranch, steps from the Rio Grande, in the rural community of Quemado, Texas. Surveillance footage of the Saturday night scuffle shows a group of migrants attacking an NYPD officer and lieutenant after they were told to move along.

The NYPD identified the suspects as Darwin Andres Gomez Izquiel, 19, Kelvin Servat Arocha, 19, Wilson Juarez, 21, Yorman Reveron, 24 — who has two pending cases in Manhattan for assault and robbery — and Jhoan Boada, 22, who is listed as homeless and an illegal immigrant.

On Thursday, two more migrants were arrested — Yohenry Brito, 24, and Jandry Barros, 21 — in connection with the attack.

Brito was arraigned by the Manhattan District Attorney’s office with a $15,000 cash bail and a $50,000 partial and secured surety bond bail for the felony charge. Barros was also arraigned Thursday and released, with his next hearing scheduled for Feb. 21.

SZA leads the pack with a whopping nine total nominations. Following the R&B superstar in the most nominations is Phoebe Bridgers and Victoria Monét, who received seven nods each. Behind them, Bridgers’ band with Julien Baker and Lucy Dacus, boygenius, received six nods, as did Jack Antonoff, Jon Batiste, boygenius, Brandy Clark, Miley Cyrus, Billie Eilish, Olivia Rodrigo and Taylor Swift.

The sartorial drama didn’t stop there: She accessorized with black velvet opera gloves and layered black and white jewels around her neck, including a watch face set to—you guessed it—midnight. Swift wore her hair in a fishtail braid that wrapped from one ear to sweep over her shoulder and capped it all off with her signature red lip (classic).

We enjoy every single bit of it… It’s been nothing but a wonderful year.”
